The 'Getting to Know School Programme' (GTKS) is a comprehensive programme designed to give new families a thorough introduction to Bluecoat and to allow children to feel welcomed and prepared, ready to start their Bluecoat journey. We look forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks!
Please also visit https://startingreception.co.uk/ which has a useful booklet available in different languages
Induction envelopes have now been distributed either via your child's setting (Bluecoat/Little Frogs only) or by post.
We are looking forward to welcoming your child to Bluecoat C of E Primary School. We have planned a series of events to support you and your child in getting to know the school. These visits coincide with transition visits across both Bluecoat and GTS and as such most visits take place within one week. These visits are for you and your child to attend together. Please walk on the pavement through the car park to the back gate and wait for the gate to be opened allowing you access to the site.

These sessions are important for the children in assisting them to make this transition and we do hope you will be able to attend. These visits are easier if you can find alternative childcare for younger siblings allowing you to focus on your child who is starting school. Please let us know if you have any difficulties arising. If 3 consecutive days of visits will be overwhelming for your child, please attend as you are able. Please check the A and B group times for your sessions. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
We look forward to getting to know you and your child during these sessions.
