Learning Support Assistant: Grade C

Temporary: 27.5hrs per week 38 weeks per year

We are seeking to appoint a calm, resilient, creative and highly motivated practitioner to support provision for an identified pupil with additional needs at Great Torrington Bluecoat C of E Primary School. The role will involve supporting a bright and lively Year 3 child, who exhibits some challenging behaviours, with her social and emotional development during unstructured times as well as providing focussed support with learning behaviour in class and implementing specific learning programmes to help fulfil her potential. The successful candidate will require boundless energy and literacy and numeracy skills which are sufficiently developed to support the child’s learning throughout KS2. An interest in Art and Science would be a particular advantage as these are specific areas of interest to her. A calm and patient nature and a sense of fun are also essential requirements for the post.

A willingness to undertake specialist training will be a distinct advantage. Applicants will need to be confident, resilient, flexible, organised and able to use their own initiative.

Swimbridge C of E Primary School

Inclusion Practitioner / SEND Administrator

Permanent: Grade D 27.5 hrs per week 38 weeks per year

Start Date: January 2022

Swimbridge C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a confident, hard-working inclusion practitioner, with experience working with pupils with special educational needs (or a desire to specialise in this area), to support inclusive practice within our school. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with pupils, parents and staff from a wide range of external agencies to improve outcomes for our most vulnerable children and their families.

Responsibilities will include providing support with inclusive quality first teaching in class, leading targeted interventions and providing administrative support to the SENDCO and inclusion team.

The role will require a forward thinking, creative approach combined with resilience and determination to improve outcomes for children. Applicants will need to have a minimum GCSE grade C/4 in Maths and English, excellent IT and communication skills and the ability to forge strong partnerships with parents.

A willingness to undertake specialist training is essential. A pro-active approach, high expectations and the capacity to relate to, engage with, and empower vulnerable pupils and their families are all essential requirements for this post.

Full Time Class Teacher (KS2): TPS

Permanent from January 2022

Swimbridge C of E Primary School is a rural, village school with a Christian ethos, where emphasis is placed on supporting the whole child through every aspect of development. At Swimbridge School we have a rich, diverse curriculum which enables pupils to excel across all areas. This is an opportunity for a teacher with a specific subject interest to further extend and share their expertise within a supportive and thriving school community. Whilst not essential, an interest in taking on responsibility for English across the school would be a distinct advantage.
