Academic Mentor

Fixed Term to 31 st August 2023 Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week

Salary: £19,000 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a confident and highly motivated practitioner to support provision for pupils struggling with literacy at Bluecoat C of E Primary School. The successful candidate will have an excellent level of literacy skills and the ability to work with a range of professionals to develop and deliver high quality provision for children who require additional support to develop their reading and writing skills. Guidance and support will be provided, as applicable, to those new to the role. Applicants will need to be educated to degree level and be happy to apply to become an academic mentor through the National Tutoring Programme.

A pro-active, flexible approach and the capacity to enthuse and motivate pupils who find literacy challenging, are essential requirements for this post.
