Learning Support Assistant

Temporary: 27.5hrs per week (8:50am – 3:20pm, Mon - Fri)

Grade C: £12.18 - £12.59 per hour

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, creative and highly motivated practitioner to support provision for an identified pupil with additional needs at Great Torrington Bluecoat C of E Primary School. The role will involve supporting a bright and lively child, currently in Year 5, with his academic and social and emotional development and implementing specific learning programmes to help him fulfil his potential alongside his peers. The successful candidate will require boundless energy and literacy and numeracy skills which are sufficiently developed to support a high achieving child throughout the remainder of his time at our school. An interest in Science and the natural world would be a particular advantage as these are specific areas of interest to him. A calm and patient nature and a sense of fun are also essential requirements for the post. 

A willingness to undertake specialist training will be a distinct advantage. Applicants will need to be confident, resilient, flexible, organised and able to use their own initiative.
