At our school, we place a high value on delivering a rich, engaging, and ambitious curriculum that inspires a lifelong love of learning in every child.
While our teaching is firmly underpinned by the National Curriculum, we go a step further to ensure that learning is deeply coherent and progressive across every key stage. To support high-quality planning and guarantee smooth progression, our subject leads have carefully unpacked the National Curriculum, breaking it down into distinct skill strands and clear 'small steps'.
Through our Curriculum Principles, key themes and skills—such as Animals Including Humans in Science—are mapped out across the entire school journey rather than viewed in isolated year groups. This progression model shows exactly when a concept is first introduced, when it is revisited and what the precise next steps look like as children advance.
By structuring our curriculum this way, we ensure that foundational knowledge is built securely, skills are built upon intentionally and every child makes meaningful connections as they grow. We invite you to explore our subject frameworks below to see how learning progresses across our school.
You can find an introduction to our 'Curriculum Principles' below; alternatively you can view each subject individually on the correct subject page using the navigation bar at the top of the page, or the buttons below.
